American Students Explore Namibia’s Parliamentary System
A group of American students taking part in a programme facilitated by the Center for Global Education and Experience (CGEE) visited the Namibian Parliament to gain first-hand insight into the country’s political and democratic system.
The visit gave the students an opportunity to learn about the work of Parliament, how laws are developed and the responsibilities of the legislature within Namibia’s system of governance.
The engagement also formed part of their broader learning experience in Namibia, allowing them to connect classroom knowledge with the country’s institutions and gain a better understanding of Namibian society and democracy.
CGEE is based at Augsburg University in Minneapolis and runs experiential education programmes in Africa and other regions, with Namibia among its international study locations.
