31-Year-Old Man Accused of Killing His Biological Mother Denied Bail in Rundu
The Rundu Magistrate’s Court has remanded 31-year-old Lukas Ihemba Sifwaku in custody following allegations that he fatally attacked his mother in Sauyemwa location.
Sifwaku appeared before court on Wednesday, where his application for bail was unsuccessful. He is accused of killing his 52-year-old biological mother, Veronika Tjangano Ngongo, who was a teacher at Ndama Primary School.
According to the case allegations, Ngongo was attacked on Tuesday with a panga and a spade.
The matter has been postponed to 1 February 2027, when Sifwaku is expected to appear again.
Ngongo’s death has drawn attention in Rundu, with the case now before the courts.
