Okahao Woman Loses N$20,320 After Suspect Tricks Her Into Revealing Banking Details
A woman in Okahao has reportedly lost N$20,320 after an unknown suspect allegedly tricked her into revealing sensitive banking information on Saturday.
According to the reported incident, the suspect contacted the complainant by phone and persuaded her to provide the number on the back of her bank card. The suspect also allegedly convinced her to confirm a one-time password (OTP) sent to her mobile phone.
The information was allegedly used to access her bank account and withdraw the money without her authorisation.
No money has been recovered, and the suspect remains unidentified.
