Namibia’s U15 national team, the Baby Warriors, wrapped up their participation in the inaugural FIFA U15 World Cup and Festival in Azerbaijan on a winning note after defeating Nicaragua 4-2 in their final fixture.

The victory brought Namibia’s campaign to a total of five wins from nine international matches, alongside four defeats, marking a competitive outing for the young team against opponents from different parts of the world.

The Baby Warriors began their campaign with an impressive 8-0 victory over São Tomé and Príncipe before recording further wins against the British Virgin Islands (3-0), Bermuda (2-1) and Trinidad and Tobago (4-1).

Their other victory came in the final match against Nicaragua, where they secured a 4-2 result to close their tournament on a positive note.

However, Namibia also faced difficult encounters, suffering defeats against Poland (0-5), Afghanistan (2-6), Tunisia (0-4) and Moldova (0-4).
