A young woman, Chisom Ayogu, tragically lost her life after a visit to her ex-boyfriend’s residence in Nsukka, Enugu State. The incident occurred on New Anglican Road in Nsukka Local Government Area, where she had gone to inform her former partner of her upcoming wedding.
According to reports, Chisom, a native of Amufie community in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, was allegedly assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, Ogbonna widely known in the area by his nickname, “Mourinho.”
Following the assault, Chisom was found unconscious and was quickly taken to a nearby hospital. Sadly, medical personnel pronounced her dead on arrival.
Ogbonna, who is also from the Igbo-Eze North area specifically the Igogoro community has been taken into police custody and is currently undergoing interrogation as investigations continue.
The community has been left in shock and mourning over the senseless loss of a young life, just as the victim was preparing for a new chapter.
