According to national police spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, the body of Linus Paulus (18) was found inside his sleeping quarters on Friday around 13h00 by his employer at Oshaakondwa village near Onethindi in the Oshana region.
No suicide note was discovered at the scene, and authorities have ruled out any signs of foul play for now. Paulus’ family has been informed, and investigations are ongoing.
In a separate case reported from Leonardville, 32-year-old Efraim Khariseb was found dead under a tree on Saturday. Preliminary information suggests that Khariseb left home shortly after midnight, telling his brother he was going to attend a memorial service. He allegedly headed into the field, leaving his sandals by the roadside.
“No suicide note was recovered, and at this stage, police do not suspect foul play,” said Shikwambi.
Khariseb’s next of kin have also been notified.
Authorities continue to investigate both incidents to establish the full circumstances surrounding the deaths.
