Namibia will once again be represented on the continental football stage, as two of its top referees, Vistoria Shangula and Eveline Lungameni, have been officially appointed to officiate at the upcoming 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League | COSAFA Qualifiers.
The qualifiers are scheduled to take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 22 to 31 August 2025, bringing together the best women’s club teams from the Southern African region.

Shangula and Lungameni are set to join the COSAFA refereeing delegation on 16 August, marking yet another milestone for Namibian match officials in international competitions. Their selection underscores the growing recognition of Namibia’s officiating standards within the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
This appointment is not only a personal achievement for the two referees but also a proud moment for the Namibian football community, as it highlights the country’s ongoing contribution to the development of women’s football in the region.
