
Malakia Elindi, one of the accused in the alleged NAMCOR fraud case, has been admitted to a private hospital in Windhoek, his lawyer Sisa Namandje informed the court on Friday.
Namandje disclosed this during the ongoing bail hearing, which entered its final stage today. State advocate Basson Lilungwe is expected to deliver oral arguments before Magistrate Linus Samunzala, marking the last day for arguments in the matter.
Elindi is among several individuals implicated in the high-profile case involving alleged financial irregularities at the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR).
The court will determine whether to grant bail after hearing submissions from both the defence and the State.
