Police Report — Woman Found Dead at Windhoek Mental Health Facility – The Updated World

A 40-year-old woman was discovered dead at a mental health facility in Windhoek on Saturday, in what police suspect to be a case of suicide.

According to the national police spokesperson, deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, the deceased has been identified as Kondjela Hamunyela.

“She was reportedly found at Serenity Mental Health Facility in Pioniers Park. No foul play is suspected and her next of kin have been informed,” Shikwambi confirmed.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation, but police have ruled out any criminal activity at this stage.
