
Police in the Erongo Region have confirmed the discovery of a body belonging to a man who had been missing for several days in the Swartbank area, near Walvis Bay.
According to authorities, search teams came across the remains at around 10h00 on Thursday last week after following a trail of footprints in the area.
The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Stanislaus Dumeni, a Namibian man who was reported missing from a nearby farm on 11 September 2025.
The body was transported to the police mortuary, where a postmortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Erongo police spokesperson confirmed that Dumeni’s next of kin have been notified, and investigations are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding his death.
