Namibian Police Inspector General, Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo, reported said that three persons of interest have been questioned in connection with the death of 32-year-old Juanita Karolus, whose body was discovered behind People’s Primary School in Katutura, Windhoek, on 3 October.
According to Shikongo, investigators are still piecing together crucial evidence, and no arrests have been made at this stage. He revealed that Karolus, originally from Keetmanshoop, died from suffocation, and further forensic examinations are being conducted to determine whether she was also sexually assaulted.
A passerby reportedly made the grim discovery, prompting an immediate police response and the opening of a murder investigation.

Lieutenant General Shikongo appealed to the public to come forward with any information that may assist in solving the case, assuring that all tip-offs will be handled with strict confidentiality.
