A tragic incident in Rundu has resulted in the death of a young man following a violent altercation at a local drinking spot in Kehemu on Thursday night.
Police confirmed that 23-year-old Paulus Muremi Mbereshu lost his life after being fatally stabbed during a confrontation with another man at a shebeen in the area.
Authorities further noted that the 21-year-old suspect sustained injuries during the altercation and is currently admitted to the Rundu State Hospital under police guard.
The deceased’s next of kin have been notified as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue. Police are urging the public to refrain from violence and allow lawful processes to resolve disputes.
