Bournemouth Thrash Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford to Deepen United’s Crisis
AFC Bournemouth delivered a commanding performance to defeat Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday, October 25, 2026, piling further pressure on the home side in the Premier League.
The visitors took control through goals from Rayan Vitor Simplício Rocha, Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson, securing all three points with an impressive display against Michael Carrick’s struggling side.
Bournemouth broke the deadlock in the 38th minute when Brazilian forward Rayan finished from a Justin Kluivert free-kick to put the visitors ahead.
The Cherries doubled their advantage five minutes later. Adrien Truffert provided the assist for Tavernier, who found the net in the 43rd minute to leave Manchester United facing a difficult task before half-time.
United made a change at the break, introducing Matheus Cunha for Youri Tielemans in an attempt to improve their attacking threat. However, Bournemouth continued to create problems for the home defence.
The visitors put the result beyond doubt in the 71st minute when Evanilson scored their third goal, finishing after receiving a pass from Lewis Cook.
Manchester United made further changes during the match, with Ben Gannon-Doak replacing Kluivert for Bournemouth, while Lisandro Martínez came on for Ayden Heaven for the hosts.
The defeat adds to Manchester United’s difficult run of results and increases scrutiny on Carrick, whose team struggled to turn possession into a comeback.
For Bournemouth, the victory represents an important away result, with Rayan, Tavernier and Evanilson all making decisive contributions to a convincing win at one of English football’s biggest grounds.
