Namibia has officially rolled out the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS), a global initiative designed to strengthen player development from the grassroots level. The launch took place on Friday, 7 November, at the Namibia Football Association (NFA) Football House in Katutura.
The TDS aims to establish a clear and structured pathway for young players, ensuring consistent growth from youth football to professional leagues and the national team.
Speaking at the launch, TDS Officer Jacobs emphasized that nurturing talent at an early stage is essential for producing players with strong technical and physical abilities. “Our goal is to develop quality players through a well-organized system that supports both national and club-level football,” he said.

The initiative aligns with FIFA’s broader mission to elevate football standards globally by providing resources, training, and long-term strategies for youth development programs.
