Government Announces Overtime and Public Holiday Pay Rates for 2025-2027

The Ministry of Justice and Labour Relations has announced overtime and Sunday/public holiday pay rates under the National Minimum Wage Order for the years 2025 to 2027.

According to the order, workers who put in extra hours will earn overtime pay calculated at one and a half times their normal hourly wage.

Employees who work on Sundays or public holidays will be paid double their standard hourly rate.The rates apply to different categories of workers and take effect from 1 January each year.

Employers are urged to familiarise themselves with the correct pay structures and make sure they comply with the law.
