NamPost Extends Operating Hours to Ease Child Cash Grant Payouts

NamPost has announced extended operating hours at selected post offices to assist with the payment of Child Cash Grants amid increasing queues across the country.
According to the postal service, branches experiencing high volumes of beneficiaries will remain open until 17:00 on Saturday, 10 January 2026, in an effort to ensure that child grant recipients are served efficiently and delays are reduced.
NamPost clarified that the extended hours apply exclusively to Child Cash Grant payouts. Beneficiaries receiving other forms of social grants have been advised to adhere strictly to their allocated payment dates, as previously communicated by the relevant authorities.
The institution further urged beneficiaries from remote and rural communities not to travel to post offices unnecessarily. Instead, they were encouraged to wait for NamPost’s mobile payout teams, which will continue servicing beneficiaries at designated pay points in line with the existing outreach schedule.
NamPost expressed appreciation for the public’s cooperation and understanding, noting that the temporary measure is aimed at improving service delivery while managing congestion at post office branches.
