The Namibia Football Association (NFA) has moved to ensure continuity within its administration by appointing Mabos Vries to oversee the role of General Secretary on an acting basis.

The decision was taken by the NFA Executive Council, with Vries’ appointment coming into effect on 1 February 2026. He will serve in the position until a substantive General Secretary is formally appointed or until the Executive Committee resolves otherwise.

In his acting capacity, Vries will take on the full responsibilities and functions of the General Secretary, guiding the day-to-day operations of the association during the transition period.

The Executive Council has conveyed its confidence in Vries’ leadership and administrative capabilities, urging NFA members, partners, stakeholders and the broader football fraternity to give him their full support and cooperation.
