Unidentified Woman Found Near UNAM, Police Appeal for Help

The Namibian Police are once again calling on the public to help identify the body of an unknown woman discovered in a decomposed state near the Western Bypass in Windhoek.
The remains were found on 31 January opposite the University of Namibia (UNAM). Despite initial reports and follow-up efforts, the woman’s identity has not yet been established.
In an effort to move the investigation forward, police sketch artists have produced a composite drawing showing what the woman may have looked like. Photographs of the clothing recovered at the scene were also previously released to assist with identification.
Police are urging anyone who recognises the facial composite or the clothing to come forward. Members of the public may visit the Windhoek Police Mortuary or contact Chief Inspector Oscar Shatipamba on 081 273 5188 or 081 311 4842.

Investigations into the case remain ongoing.
