Russian Businessman Rashid Sardarov Donates N$4 Million Motorbikes to NamPol

The Namibian Police have strengthened their operational resources following the acquisition of new mobility equipment aimed at enhancing rapid response, particularly in areas frequented by tourists.
The support comes through a donation of 10 motorbikes valued at N$4 million from Russian businessman Rashid Sardarov. The donation is expected to significantly improve patrol efficiency and visibility across key locations.
Inspector General Joseph Shikongo welcomed the contribution, saying the additional motorbikes will enable officers to respond more swiftly to criminal incidents and improve overall service delivery. He emphasized that the donation was made without any conditions attached.
As part of the allocation, one motorbike, six newly acquired bicycles, and two vehicles have been assigned to the Tourism Protection Subdivision, a unit tasked with safeguarding visitors and tourism-related infrastructure.
According to the police, the equipment will play a critical role in boosting law enforcement capabilities and ensuring a safer environment in high-tourism zones across the country.
