86-Year-Old Woman Allegedly Raped in Kavango East

Police in the Mukwe Constituency of the Kavango East Region are investigating a disturbing case in which an 86-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted at Popa village on Friday night.

According to preliminary reports, the suspect is said to have unlawfully entered the pensioner’s room while she was asleep and carried out the attack.

The incident reportedly came to light when the victim raised an alarm, prompting her granddaughter to rush to the scene. The suspect then fled immediately after being discovered.

Authorities confirmed that investigations are underway, and efforts are ongoing to trace and apprehend the suspect.
