President Nandi-Ndaitwah Begins State Visit to China with High-Level Talks in Guangdong

President Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has officially begun her State Visit to the People’s Republic of China by holding discussions with Mr. Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, along with senior provincial officials.
During the meeting, President Nandi-Ndaitwah thanked the Chinese Government for its warm reception and explained that she intentionally chose Guangzhou as the starting point of her visit because of the city’s importance as one of China’s major economic and innovation centres.
She said Namibia hopes to gain valuable insights from Guangdong’s development experience while also creating investment and business opportunities for the Namibian delegation accompanying her.
Secretary Huang Kunming welcomed the President and reaffirmed Guangdong Province’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Namibia. He expressed confidence that the visit would strengthen the longstanding partnership between the two countries and contribute to even closer bilateral relations in the years ahead.
