Nciye United FC crowned Kavango West River Stream Third Division champions, earn promotion to Second Division
Nciye United FC have been crowned champions of the Kavango West River Stream Third Division for the 2025/26 season after securing the top spot following a 2-2 draw against Mpungu FC.
The result confirmed Nciye United as league winners, capping off a successful campaign that has earned them promotion to the Kavango Second Division.
Kambu FC finished the season in second place after maintaining pressure on the leaders with a convincing 4-0 victory over Kakoro FC. The result was enough to keep them behind Nciye United on the final log standings.
As champions, Nciye United FC will now join Kulisuka Palace FC and LK United FC in the Kavango Second Division, becoming the latest team from the Mpungu Constituency to compete at that level of regional football.
Nciye United will replace Nankudu Eleven FC and Kahenge Chelsea FC, who were relegated from the Kavango Second Division at the end of the 2025/26 season.
The promotion represents a major milestone for Nciye United, who will now face a new challenge as they prepare for life in the Second Division.
