African Stars sign Former FC Ongos Captain Lyema Dopolo
African Stars FC have strengthened their squad ahead of their CAF Champions League campaign with the signing of South African international and former FC Ongos captain Lyema Dopolo.
Dopolo joins the Samba Boys after an eight-month spell with FC Ongos, where he played a key role in helping the club secure a fourth-place finish in the Namibia Premier Football League.
Known for his leadership, physical strength and defensive ability, the experienced defender is expected to add stability and depth to African Stars’ backline.
His arrival comes at an important time for the club as African Stars prepare to represent Namibia on the continental stage in the CAF Champions League.
The club will be hoping Dopolo’s experience, both domestically and internationally, can contribute to a strong campaign as they compete against some of Africa’s leading clubs.
