Arsenal Open Talks With Galatasaray Over Victor Osimhen Move
Arsenal have reportedly opened discussions with Galatasaray over a potential move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, as the Premier League side continues to explore options to strengthen its attack.
The talks are understood to have emerged during wider negotiations between Arsenal and the Turkish champions, who are interested in Arsenal players Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri.
Osimhen’s name has now entered those discussions, with Arsenal reportedly considering the 27-year-old as a potential attacking addition ahead of the new season.
The Nigerian enters the transfer discussions after another productive campaign in Turkey. During the 2025/26 season, Osimhen scored 15 goals in 22 Süper Lig appearances, while also providing five assists. He was also influential in the UEFA Champions League, scoring seven goals in 10 appearances for Galatasaray.
His overall impact helped Galatasaray retain the Turkish league title, with Osimhen finishing as the club’s leading scorer in the Süper Lig.
The campaign followed an even more prolific 2024/25 season, when Osimhen scored 26 league goals in 30 appearances during his loan spell at Galatasaray.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray permanently from Napoli in 2025 for a reported €75 million, becoming one of the most expensive transfers in Turkish football.
He has since established himself as one of the club’s most important attacking players.
Galatasaray, however, are reportedly reluctant to lose their star striker. Any potential Arsenal move could therefore depend on whether the Premier League club is prepared to meet the Turkish champions’ valuation.
