Keetmanshoop, Namibia, Police in Keetmanshoop have reported a tragic incident that resulted in the death of a Zimbabwean national who took his own life in a head-on collision with a truck. The incident, involving an NP 300 Nissan bakkie and an oncoming truck, occurred earlier this morning on the B1 highway, about 20 kilometers north of Keetmanshoop.
According to preliminary investigations, the driver of the bakkie allegedly slit his girlfriend’s throat prior to the crash. After the violent act, he rushed her to the local state hospital. However, fearing she might not survive her injuries, the man reportedly changed his mind and chose to take his own life instead.
