
Police are searching for a cleaner who allegedly made off with a vehicle he was assigned to clean at the Islamic Centre in Windhoek on Friday morning.
According to the weekend crime report issued by the Namibian Police, the suspect was entrusted with cleaning a white Honda Civic but instead drove away with it. The incident was only reported to the police later that day at around 17h00. The car has not yet been recovered, and investigations are ongoing.
In a separate incident in the Ohangwena Region, two suspects reportedly pushed a beige Toyota Corolla from its parking spot at Onghala village, near Oshikango, on Saturday evening. The suspects are believed to have headed towards the Namibia–Angola border with the vehicle, which is valued at N$40 000.
Police have urged the public to come forward with any information that could assist in locating the stolen vehicles or identifying the suspects in both cases.
