A 26-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was brutally attacked by her boyfriend, who allegedly stabbed her multiple times with a knife in Aranos on Friday evening.
According to the weekend crime report, the incident occurred at around 18:20 on 8 August 2025, opposite FNB in Aranos town. It is alleged that the 35-year-old suspect attacked the victim with an okapi knife, stabbing her in the neck, face, and various parts of her body.
Sources indicate that the woman was on her way home from work when the assault took place. Bystanders reportedly rushed to her aid and alerted the authorities.
She was initially treated at a local hospital before being transferred to Windhoek for advanced medical care. Police confirmed that she remains in the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition.
The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident and is expected to appear in court soon. Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
