
Namibia is intensifying efforts to grow its green energy and oil sectors, with President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah emphasizing the country’s openness to collaborate with the European Union (EU) in driving investment and sustainable outcomes.
Speaking during a courtesy meeting with the visiting EU Commission delegation, President Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted that the partnership reflects a strong and constructive relationship, which both parties are eager to strengthen further.
EU Commissioner for International Partnerships, Mr. Jozef Sikela, described Namibia as a strategic partner for the European Union. He noted that the collaboration is anchored on shared goals such as economic growth, human development, and job creation.

Sikela added that the EU is committed to supporting Namibia by opening access to European markets, expanding vocational training opportunities, and advancing the country’s green hydrogen agenda.
