19-Year-Old Arandis Man Dies in Suspected Suicide

The Erongo police have confirmed the death of a 19-year-old man in Arandis, in what is being investigated as a case of suicide.

According to Senior Inspector Judith Shomongula, the incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 16:05 at a residence in Snipe Close Street. The deceased has been identified as Shikongo Jericho Tuhafeni, a Namibian male.

“It is alleged that the young man hanged himself in the bathroom of the house. A medical practitioner who attended the scene confirmed his death,” Shomongula said.

The next of kin have been informed, and police investigations are ongoing.
