25-Year-Old Woman Arrested for Stabbing 45-Year-Old Boyfriend

Police in the Aranos District are investigating a fatal domestic violence incident that claimed the life of a 45-year-old man following an alleged stabbing at Diaver Farm, Aranos District.
The deceased, identified as Jan Swartz, was reportedly involved in a heated dispute with his girlfriend on Friday, 26 December 2025, between 13:00 and 14:00. The two were said to be in a domestic relationship when the argument escalated into a physical altercation. During the confrontation, the woman allegedly stabbed Swartz once with a knife.
Swartz sustained serious injuries and was taken to Aranos State Hospital for treatment. However, on Saturday, 27 December 2025, he reportedly collapsed at his residence and later died as a result of the injuries he had sustained.
The deceased’s next of kin have been informed. A 25-year-old woman has since been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
