26-Year-Old Man from Omusati Region Arrested Over Shocking Killing and Mutilation

A 26-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with a shocking violent incident that left one man dead and another injured at Uushwa location in Omuthitugwonyama village, Okalongo constituency, in the Omusati Region.
According to a police crime report released this morning, the incident occurred at around 20h55 on Thursday evening.It is alleged that the suspect fatally assaulted the deceased by striking him on the head with bricks.
Police further stated that the attacker went on to mutilate the victim’s body by cutting off his testicles and removing skin from his penis.During the same attack, a second man was also assaulted but managed to escape and survive the incident.
The identity and age of the deceased had not yet been officially confirmed at the time of reporting, though he is believed to have been a resident of Omuthitugwonyama village.
Authorities have since notified the next of kin.The suspect, who is also from the same village, remains in police custody and is expected to appear in court on charges of murder and attempted murder.
