46-Year-Old Man Dies After Shooting Woman and Himself in Okongo
A 46-year-old man died after allegedly shooting a 43-year-old woman before turning the firearm on himself at Shapopi location in Okongo village.
The incident reportedly occurred at around 10h00 yesterday. The woman sustained gunshot wounds to her head and right arm, while the man shot himself in the head.
Both victims were initially rushed to Okongo State Hospital before being transferred to Onandjokwe State Hospital for further medical treatment.
The man, who was reportedly in a romantic relationship with the woman, died from his head injuries upon arrival at Onandjokwe State Hospital. The woman remains hospitalised in serious condition.
Police have not yet established what led to the shooting, and the motive remains unknown. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
