A 26-Year-Old Woman Killed in Suspected Domestic Violence Incident in Kahenge

A young woman from Toyota village in the Tondoro Constituency, Kavango West, died on Tuesday night after a violent attack believed to be linked to domestic violence.
Police confirmed that the incident happened on 25 November 2025 at about 20h30. The victim, 26-year-old Hausona Nanguroni, was reportedly assaulted by her 28-year-old husband during a heated argument. Officers say both had been drinking before the confrontation turned violent.
According to the police report, the man allegedly hit Nanguroni on the head with burning firewood and continued beating her with sticks. She suffered severe burns and multiple injuries, and died at the scene shortly afterwards. Police also revealed that she was pregnant at the time.
The suspect was arrested soon after the incident. Authorities say the victim’s family has not yet been notified, and investigations are still underway.
