An adult Angolan man has been arrested for allegedly stealing from his Namibian employer at Ovihitua, in the Omatjete policing area.

According to the police, the suspect worked as a goat herder for a 44-year-old Namibian man. The theft reportedly occurred on several occasions before the employer discovered that his employee had been stealing from him.

Although the matter was only reported to the police on Friday, investigations revealed that property worth approximately N$30,000 had been stolen over time.

Law enforcement officers have since recovered items valued at N$24,000 during the suspect’s arrest.

The police investigation continues.
