Angolan Man Arrested After Allegedly Pouring Alcohol on Namibian Police Officer’s Uniform

An Angolan national was arrested in Rehoboth’s Block E after allegedly confronting a police officer during a dispute over loud music late on Friday night.
The incident occurred at about 23:30 on 2 October, when police reportedly instructed the man to reduce the volume of music he was playing.
According to the police, the suspect allegedly refused to comply with the instruction and went on to insult and threaten the officer.
The situation reportedly escalated further when the man allegedly poured alcohol over the officer’s uniform.

The suspect was arrested and is expected to appear before the Rehoboth Magistrate’s Court on Monday, where he will face the relevant charges.
