Elderly Woman Found Dead After Sending Family to Church

An 82-year-old woman was found dead inside her sleeping room at Okalondo village in the Otamanzi Constituency of the Omusati Region on Sunday afternoon.

Police reported that the elderly woman allegedly took her own life after instructing members of her household to attend church earlier that morning.

The family members left for church as instructed and returned at around 13:00, where they discovered the woman’s lifeless body hanging from the roof of her sleeping room.

According to the police, no suicide note was found at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
