Fisch Rejects Drug Allegations, Distances Herself From Co-Accused During Bail Hearing

Naomi Fisch has firmly denied any involvement in drug trafficking, distancing herself from the substances and cash linked to a pending drug-related case during ongoing bail proceedings before the court.
Under cross-examination by State prosecutor Frank Tjibeba, Fisch disputed claims that the drugs discovered during the police investigation belonged to her. She testified that the investigating officer witnessed co-accused Menschel Beukes throwing the drugs out of the yard, adding that Beukes later admitted ownership of the substances.
Fisch further rejected allegations that the N$154,000 recovered from her residence was hers, stating that the money belonged to her boyfriend and co-accused, Steven Schneider.
Addressing her personal circumstances, Fisch told the court that she has been in a romantic relationship with Schneider for approximately five months. She said she does not have personal relationships with the other three accused, explaining that she only knows them by sight from around town.
She also testified about her financial history, stating that she spent N$100,000 from her personal savings on artificial insemination, which she said was paid in instalments.
Fisch acknowledged that her initial bail application was motivated by her pregnancy but informed the court that she has since suffered a miscarriage. She explained that she is now seeking bail due to alleged poor treatment by the Rehoboth station commander and because Schneider has indicated that she was not involved in the criminal activities under investigation.
The bail hearing is ongoing.
