CENoRED Engineer Vehonga Ndura, 43, Remanded in Custody Over Alleged Rape of Minor

A 43-year-old engineer employed by the Central North Regional Electricity Distributor (CENoRED) has been remanded in custody following allegations of rape involving a 15-year-old learner.
Vehonga Ndura appeared before the Otjiwarongo Magistrate’s Court in connection with an alleged incident reported to have occurred on 12 August 2026 at a guesthouse in Otjiwarongo.
Ndura is facing a charge of rape, with the State alleging that force was used during the incident. The complainant is a 15-year-old Grade 8 learner at Karundu Junior Secondary School.
The matter was postponed to 7 September 2026 to allow the defence sufficient time to prepare a formal bail application.
Ndura will remain in custody until his next court appearance, where the bail application is expected to be addressed.
