Man Found Dead After Suspected Morphine Overdose in Walvis Bay

A 34-year-old man was discovered dead at his family home in Walvis Bay on Saturday morning after he allegedly consumed a bottle of Mist Morphine.
According to Erongo police spokesperson, Senior Inspector Judith Shomongula, the incident occurred at around 06:58. The deceased, identified as Louw Jerome James, was found unresponsive by his mother, who immediately notified the authorities.
Medical personnel were dispatched to the scene but confirmed that James had already passed away. His body was later transported to the Walvis Bay Police mortuary for a post-mortem examination to establish the exact cause of death.
Inspector Shomongula confirmed that James’s next of kin have been informed, adding that police investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
