Man Killed While Crossing B10 Road at Bunya Village

A 39-year-old man lost his life after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the B10 road at Bunya village in the Kavango West Region on Sunday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Ncavase David Kudumo, a Namibian national. He died on the spot following the collision, which occurred at about 18h45 on 25 January 2026.
Police reports indicate that the accident involved a white Toyota pick-up that was travelling from Rundu in the direction of Nkurenkuru. The pedestrian was reportedly running across the roadway when he was hit by the oncoming vehicle.
The driver, a 49-year-old Namibian man who holds a valid driver’s licence, was tested for alcohol at the scene and returned a negative result. Authorities confirmed that Kudumo’s next of kin have been notified of his death.
Police investigations are ongoing, and a case of culpable homicide has been registered.
