Man Loses His Life After Attacking Ex-Girlfriend and Male Companion in Rehoboth

A tragic confrontation unfolded on Friday morning in Rehoboth, leaving a woman and her male companion critically injured and her former boyfriend dead.
The violent incident occurred at a residence on 2nd Street, Block E. According to police reports, 26-year-old George Haubab arrived at his former girlfriend’s home and discovered her in the company of another man.
Haubab allegedly attacked the male companion with an Okapi knife, inflicting serious injuries before the victim managed to flee. He then turned on the woman, stabbing her multiple times.
Neighbours and other residents, awakened by the screams, reportedly tried to intervene. However, Haubab allegedly brandished the knife, forcing them to retreat.
Following the attack, Haubab reportedly inflicted self-harm, collapsing nearby. He was pronounced dead, and his next of kin have been notified. The injured woman and man are currently receiving treatment at a Windhoek hospital.
