Man Shot by Security Guard Over Beer Bottles at Ongwediva Bar

A 32-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being shot by a security guard during a dispute over beer bottles at Omotuli Bar in Ongwediva on Friday.
According to the Oshana police, the incident unfolded when the victim attempted to leave the establishment with two bottles of beer he had purchased. A quarrel reportedly broke out between him and the security guard, who is employed by 101 Security Company.
The confrontation escalated when the guard allegedly drew a shotgun and fired, hitting the victim in both legs. The injured man was immediately transported to Oshakati Intermediate Hospital, where he is reported to be in a stable condition.
Police confirmed that the 52-year-old suspect was arrested following the incident. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
