Man Stabbed After Accidentally Stepping on Woman’s Foot

A late-night altercation in Otjiwarongo has left a 33-year-old man hospitalised with multiple stab wounds following a dispute during a social gathering.
The incident reportedly took place around 23:00 on 30 April at the Telecom location, where a group had been drinking. According to police spokesperson Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, tensions escalated after the victim allegedly stepped on another man’s girlfriend’s foot.
It is alleged that the suspect, who had been seated at the time, reacted by confronting the victim before producing a knife and stabbing him several times.
The injured man is currently receiving medical treatment for the wounds he sustained, while the suspect has been arrested and remains in police custody.
Authorities have confirmed that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
