Police in Omuthiya are investigating a reported rape and assault involving a 25-year-old mentally unstable woman.

The incident allegedly occurred between 25 and 26 September 2026 between Oshimangwashongete and Eendombedhiingula villages in the Omuthiya Constituency.

According to the police weekend crime report, the woman was allegedly on her way home when she was approached by a man who is reportedly known to her.

The suspect allegedly had sexual intercourse with the woman before assaulting her.
