Police in Walvis Bay are investigating an armed robbery at a residence in Peter Mweshihange Street, where valuables worth an estimated N$211,500 were reportedly stolen.

The incident took place on Friday, 4 September 2026, at approximately 21h30, according to Senior Inspector Judith Shomongula.

Police said the suspects, who were reportedly wearing masks, entered the residence through an open back door before searching the house and taking several valuable items.

Among the property reported stolen are a rifle, a complete computer set, two Samsung mobile phones, jewellery and N$3,000 in cash.

Investigators have so far not recovered the stolen items. However, safe keys believed to be linked to the incident were later discovered abandoned in Union Street.

Police are appealing to members of the public who may have information that could assist in identifying or locating the suspects to come forward.
