Namibia Police Probe Link Between 18-Year-Old Arrested Over Abduction Attempt and Okahandja Serial Killings

The Namibian Police are investigating a possible link between an 18-year-old man arrested over an alleged attempted abduction in Okahandja and a series of killings in the town.
The suspect was arrested over the weekend after allegedly attempting to abduct a 10-year-old girl.
On Tuesday, police announced a breakthrough in investigations into the murders of a woman and two young girls in Okahandja. The cases include the 2025 murders of five-year-old Ingrid Maasdorp and six-year-old Roswinds Fabianu.
However, police have not yet publicly confirmed whether the 18-year-old suspect is connected to the murder cases.
Acting Inspector-General of Police, Major-General Anne-Marie Nainda, is expected to provide further details during a press conference scheduled for Thursday at the police headquarters in Windhoek.
The briefing is expected to shed more light on the arrests and the progress made in the investigations.
