Okahandja Man Arrested for Attempting to Sell Protected Leopard Skin

A 39-year-old Namibian man has been arrested in Okahandja after allegedly trying to sell a protected leopard skin valued at approximately N$80 000.
The arrest took place on Saturday, 17 January 2026, following a covert, intelligence-led operation by law-enforcement officers. According to police, undercover officers posed as buyers and met the suspect at a service station along the town’s main road, where he was apprehended.
