Omusati Man Arrested for Allegedly Raping Biological Daughter

Police in the Omusati Region have arrested a 47-year-old man in connection with a disturbing case involving the alleged of raping his biological daughter.
Regional Commander Commissioner Ismael Basson confirmed that the suspect is accused of repeatedly assaulting his 14-year-old daughter at Ohongo village in the Etayi Constituency. The incidents are believed to have occurred over several months, between July 2025 and January 2026, although police say the exact dates and times are still under investigation.
According to information provided by the police, the suspect allegedly instructed the victim to bring him food to his room. He is further accused of threatening her with a dry palm stick and forcing her to undress. Police allege that the man then had sexual intercourse with her on multiple occasions without her consent.
Both the suspect and the victim reportedly live in the same household. The matter remains under active investigation as police work to gather further evidence and ensure the victim’s safety.
The Namibian Police have reiterated their commitment to addressing cases of abuse and continue to encourage members of the public to report incidents of violence, particularly those occurring within families.
