Teen Arrested After Uncle Dies in Alleged Brick Attack Over Food Dispute

A 33-year-old man lost his life following an alleged altercation with his 16-year-old nephew at Onankali Village in the Oshikoto Region on Sunday evening.
According to Oshikoto Regional Police Commander, Commissioner Ndafudha Iifo, the incident reportedly stemmed from an argument over food at a family homestead where both individuals lived.
Police investigations indicate that the disagreement escalated into a confrontation, during which the two allegedly chased each other before a physical fight broke out. During the altercation, the teenager is accused of striking his uncle on the head with a brick.
The injured man was rushed to the Onankali Health Clinic but was declared dead upon arrival.
The teenage suspect, who is reportedly a Grade 8 learner at a local school, has been placed in the care of social workers and is expected to appear in court. Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
