Three Suspects Arrested In Otjiwarongo After Allegedly Robbing US Tourists
Three men have been arrested in connection with the alleged robbery of two tourists from the United States in Otjiwarongo on Monday afternoon.
The tourists reportedly lost personal belongings, passports and money shortly after arriving at a local hotel.
The suspects, aged 25, 33 and 43, were later intercepted at a mobile roadblock near Kalkfeld settlement. Police reportedly recovered the stolen property from the vehicle in which the suspects were travelling.
Authorities have also urged tourists to remain vigilant when packing and securing their vehicles. Travellers are advised to pay close attention to any suspicious movements around their vehicles and to ensure their belongings are properly secured.
The three suspects are expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
